Kale Chips

Kale Chips

Now I know kale is not everyone’s cup of tea but this little recipe is a must to try. My 7 year old will now eat these instead of store bought high fat potato chips – LOVE!

Kale chips are easy, delicious and just takes a little focus (so they don’t burn) and you have a healthy, tasty snack. Enjoy x

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of kale

  • A drizzle of olive oil

  • A sprinkle of salt (the best you can find)

Directions

  • Pre heat the oven to 180oC and line a baking tray with baking paper
  • Remove kale leaves from the stalk and rinse. Let the leaves dry completely (this is the trick to crispy kale chips!)
  • Once the leaves are dry, cut them into bite size pieces and add to a bowl with olive oil. Toss until completely coated.
  • Arrange the kale onto the baking tray making sure the leaves don’t overlap and place in the oven.
  • Bake for about 10 – 15 minutes until the edges are brown but not burnt! Depending on the oven, you may need to turn the tray to ensure even cooking.
  • Once nicely roasted, allow to cool and enjoy!!
